I'm a bit lost there....the subject says hard disk failure, but the thread says CPU. Can you give us some more detail please? There's definitely not enough information there to help solve your issue.

The CPU error means that the processor settings in the BIOS are incorrect. Happens regularly on Abit motherboards. If you know what the processor's actual speed is then fix it in the BIOS setup.

About the second error, sounds like whatever is connected to the primary IDE channel has failed. A CD drive maybe? It would usually be a hard disk but I see from your description that the hard disk is on the secondary channel.

 If I Find Out The Processor's Speed (Pentium III)..? How can i find out what the correct setting's are for the BIOS..??
    Thansk's in advance...

Well for Pentium IIIs it's not as easy as modern processors. The clock speed is derived from a front side bus (FSB) multiplied by a certain factor. For example a 733MHz processor would be 133 x 5.5. The FSB is probably already set physically on the motherboard, it should be just the multiplier you need to set in the BIOS. But there's no guarantees. Plus a Pentium III can be a 100MHz or 133MHz FSB depending on its age.

Do you know what speed the processor is?

    300Mhz

Hmm, that's the speed that's set at the moment, I'm guessing the reason why you're getting the error is that the slowest Pentium III was 450MHz so the board knows the speed setting is wrong. (before someone says it I know there were slower mobile variants) :p

What I'd suggest to do is to download Intel's Processor Frequency ID Utility from here (have a floppy disk handy)

    http://support.intel.com/support/processors/tools/frequencyid/sb/CS-007618.htm

Download the program from there, then use it to make a bootable floppy. Put the disk in the machine (ignoring the CPU error for now) and hopefully it will start from it. That should tell you what speed the processor actually is.
