A question that has been unanswered for me for a long time now is why do the foo fighters have two videos for Times Like These.

Technically they have three videos but the third was for the acoustic version of the song so its understandable. Dave Grohl has said that he didnt like the video with people throwing their possessions off of the bridge but never said why they had two versions?

Anyone have any idea its been bugging me for ages!

I never knew of a third one..........I only know of the one with the bridge, and the crazy Liam Lynch one.

I think mtv banned the Liam Lynch one[dont have a clue why, and its a much better video] and the foos record company forced them to make a new video for mtv play.

The Foo guys weren't happy with the video that Liam Lynch made for them so they went and made the bigger budget bridge one. As far as I know MTV didn't ban the first Times Like These video, the band didn't like it so they made a new one. Simple as that!

    Meh
On Gonzo[On MTV] a few weeks ago Dave said he hated the big budget one, but was made to make it, and that they much prefered the Liam Lynch one.

Hahaha really?! I'm just going by what they were saying when the song was released in 2003...I'm not that up to date on their current goings on. But having said that their new album is great so i might get interested in them again LOL

Yea, they said they prefered the liam lynch one to the other one recently on gonzo & if that version was banned its not anymore because its often show on mtv.

As for the third video, its just of Dave Grohl in the studio, I think it was an america only video for the acoustic release of the song over there.

Liam Lynch video can be seen here

I think Dave looks a bit like Liam Gallagher at the end of this video.

I reckon record label pressure is accountable for the change to a bigger budget video. Corporate Ba*tards
