Fly to Asia Direct

    Can someone PLEASE! tell me if I can fly direct from Dublin to any Asian destination Like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand? I've heard of charter airlines, but any of the tour operators knows anything and I can't find anything.

    I hate transferring and unnecessary transfers

    AFAIK, I don't think there is at this moment in time.

    I think the closest you will get is Dubai. I am in Asia quite often and always have to go via London/Amsterdam/Frankfurt.

    You can go via Abu Dhabi with Etihad also.

    Thanks guys, so thie means that as from now, I cannot frly direct to an Asian(far east) destination... I have to transfer in some place, dubai, London, etc,. I've done it before and it suck, time wasted waiting for another plane.

    does anyone knows if there are any plans for any direct flighs from Dublin?

    Don't think so man... just going to have to live with it...

    The airlines get more business to these destinations going from the major European hubs such as were mentioned above. Its not going to be worth their while flying direct from a country with a population such as ours...

    The SAS flight from Copenhagen to BKK has great connections with flights from dublin...

    I think there is only 1 hour of waiting on each leg

    And the CPH-BKK flight will wait for you if teh DUB-CPH flight is delayed....

    In my opinion the DUB-CPH-BKK is the best rout for flying into Asia (or at leats thailand!)
