Here is a forum that deals with Windows issues in general (XP, Vista etc), outside of that Google is your friend :)

Yeah I've posted the problem up here but I still can't get a solution.

I've a brand new Dell C521 with Vista Professional that keeps freezing. It freezes permanently so I have to turn it off. It usually happens on certains sites with Firefox (vodafone webtext / BT online). It has also happend when flicking through photos in windows explorer.

I think it might be a graphics card issue. The card is a radeon x1300 pro. I thought I had fixed it last night when I increased the power settings on the pc and upgraded the driver on the graphics card but the problem came back.

This post on the dell forums worries me

Even with a 250W PSU the X1300 Pro should be fine I would be really surprised if the PSU was that weak that it could not properly power the PCI-e slots.

Go into the control panel\admin tools and check the event viewer and reliability monitor to see if it is flagging anything of note.

Also use Vista's built in RAM checker memory diagnostic tools again found in the admin tools section.

yeah tried the memory test and the even viewer (just said unexpected shutdown)

Pain in the arse. Looks like I am going to have to restore it to factory settings.
