I was talkin to Seamus (Nemo) last night:

There are 12 qualifiers for this already, so i'd guess that there will be 40+ runners - so there ought to be a ticket plus cash for top 4/5

It's 10k stack, 30 min clock, and all the levels

    should be a vgg

remember now: Sunday week!! SUNDAY the 21st October @ 6pm (I think)

there were 5 more qualifiers for this on thursday night - including Seamus of Caesers Palace - nice to have nemo's dead money in the pot :)

remember now, tomorrow, Sunday, @ 6pm

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,793 ✭✭✭bops

...being Nemo's PA is a tough job...

starting stack tomorrow has been upped to 12k (still 30 min clock)

it kicks off @ 6pm, but there are €30 stt satts running from 4pm as soon as tables fill

now back to the rugby... (i just like watching england loose stuff)

only 22 runners - a very poor turnout - many people who said they'd play didn't turn up - i suppose €320 is enough to part with when there is sorta only 1 prize

so €6600 in the prize pool & when the FT was reached Seamus offered a 8k ticket for first (nice since it was guaranteed), but the table decided on a cash paypout of the 6600 instead

a 4 way chop was done when they were down to 4 players, including nicnic

i went out in a hand that was pukeworthy - i was happy to see villian bubble the cash - that's pretty mean, but that's how bad it was

Cheers Ken. here's what I stuck in my blog about it. a bit confused the chap who bubbled was a nice fellow and a decent player

"Played the ETP sat in New Ross but unfortunately only 22 runners for the €300+20 game so not enough for a ticket. In fairness Seamus offered to make up the difference for the ticket before the final table started but some of the players wanted to just play for the money on a normal payout structure. I wanted to play for the ticket obviously but some of the players had satted in and the money on offer was decent so I cant really blame them. One prize events are basically heartache most of the time. Anyhow there was a four way split for €1500 each which I didn't mind doing as it was = to the 2nd place money and I had a splitting headache and the cards had just seemed to be starting to run against me."

Nice one on picking up a few quid Nicky but it all seems a bit strange to me. Surely if you all knew you were playing for a ticket, and then Seamus offered up a guranteed ticket, thats what the prize should have been?

People that satellited in, knew exactly what the satellite was for. You should have pushed to play for a ticket. Youre getting close a couple of times but just cant get your hands on it!

    lol so thats etp right

your right Tony but I'd say up to half the table would just take the cash structure and I suppose while a €6600 prize pool is nothing to get excited about to you or me I could see it was for some of the lads playing there. There was no guarantee of the ticket so before Seamus made the offer every one just had it down to a €300 freezout so at that stage the offer was made to make up the value a unanimous decision was very unlightly
