Electric Guitar Effect?

I would like to achieve sound of jazz guitar, like Geroge Benson's guitar in White Rabbite, but having my Epiphone Les Paul Special II and some effect.
I know, it is silly question, but I don't have room for another guitar. And buying jazz guitar doesn't look too real for me.
Is there some effect to achieve that sound? I would prefere analogue one to electronic/PC one. But I don't know anything about effect. I have just METAL and OVERDRIVE on my Roland Cube 15.
Thank you in advance for any responce.

EDIT: Here is link to sample fo that song

I guess a bit of chorus and maybe some delay/reverb might be what you're after. can't say i've heard that song though, but i do listen to a bit of jazz :)

Probably the best solution for you would be a small multieffects unit. It'd give you a chance to play around with different effects/sounds. It's not going to sound exactly like the cd or anything like that but it'll at least give you an idea of what different effects do and maybe you could buy seperate stomp boxes in the future for a better sound ;)

How much are you willing to spend??

A couple of initial suggestions would be a Line 6 POD (many to choose with prices for everyone), or maybe a digitech or boss multieffect pedal.

I'd like to spend as little as possible, but the short and rainy days are comming, so there'll be more time for teasing my housmates. I really don't know. I can't play, just trying to make some noise. But I like that kind of sound so it should help me for learning. I hope.

Well I don't know if it'll help you learning. It may give you a bit more inspiration.

    :)

well for €99 you can get a Line 6 Pocket POD, various programmable effects. Plus you can plug your headphones straight in when your housemates are telling you to shut the f**k up... :D

    have a look on http://www.thomann.de/ie/index.html

check out the digitech multieffects too, they have a good few under €100. I think they may have one or two around the €50 mark. :)

100 is not so bad. Maybe for my birthday...
Do you think that they'll let me try the effect in the shop with simillar guitar I have? That would be fantastic. But I would have to practice at least something before going there :o
I have Sennheiser headphones connected to the Cube all the time. Makes me feel really good. I wish I could play more than 6 chords :-)
    Thank you for advice.

By the way, there are some bargains in Lidl soon. Is this stand any good?

You could always just sell your bigger cube and buy a microcube :)

I have one, they're awesome. Much better than the Cube 15. Hell there's even a microcube forum on boards (not that much happens there)

I don't trust those style stands, best off getting one that holds the guitar neck. about 20 euro will get you a fantastic one in a Dublin guitar store. I have a Hercules stand, excellent quality.

use the neck pickup on you guitar...roll the tone pot down a little bit to fatten the sound and run it into the clean channel on your amp..(i'm not familar with the cube 15 but i assume it has a clean channel) add a little bit of reverb if your amp has it and that should get you in the ballpark......:D as far as i know george just uses his ibanez signature model guitar into a clean amp..i think he uses fenders with a bit of reverb....i seen him playing live on telly once and something hit his amp and you could hear the spring reverb clattering in the background ..it looked like a twin but could of been any of them ie super reverb, vibroverb etc..... hope this helps.....:D

cube 15 don't have any clean sounds, or reverb. I really think he needs a microcube :D

It has clean channel. You can switch the output to clean, or to add some effect. I'll try that today. Thanks a lot. So far...
