Installing satellite dish?

Hi, just bought the dish from Lidi's there a few weeks ago, and was wondering what satellite to point it at? There's astra1 & 2, and not too sure which one to use? And how do you go about locating a satellite? How do you know when you've locked on to it? Is there any websites I could go looking for this info? thanks, J
