I've been trying to upload quite a few photos to photobox to print. Only problem is that I shot them in RAW and the jpegs are pretty big and take AGES to upload. How much can I reduce the size of them without affecting the quality of a 7x5 print and how should I do this? Currently they're around 2-4 mb each

For 7x5s you should be able to reduce them to about 1mb each. The quality indicator on photobox will tell you if you're losing too much. Either that or do what I do - either leave them uploading overnight or bring them into work and upload them from there. The trouble with most broadband packages is that the upload is only 128 kpbs...

Best way to upload to photobox is ftp I've found. get an ftp client that does resuming. means that if it fails you can pick up where you left off. smartftp is an example if you're on Windoze

Thanks guys. I might give both of those options and try and see how I go. Its very painful when its taking about 5-10 mins to upload 1 image!

Let me know how ya get on. I quit them cause they took to long to upload. The Kodak software I had upload LARGE photo sizes pretty quickly to the Kodak site. Only thing is I like photobox delivery promise!
