    How much is it? can't see a price. imagine x4 speed to burn a whole 25 gig! that'd take ages!

    I know that the data rate of recording onto BD is quicker than DVD at the same disc speed (ie. 2x recording on BD is quicker than 2x recording on DVDR). Well, with relation to data rate/transfer

    That said, it'd probably still take a loong time! :)

    I was reading a review of the BDR-101 (it was 2x), which could neither read nor write CD's so that issue seems to be addressed in this model.

    I'd expect prices to plummet in the next year or two as the formats become more popular, and burners quicker with more features.

    You can use Nero to burn BD-R's but it's just not worth the price at this time.
