Am I right in thinking that neither Everton v Man Utd or Spurs v Arsenal is being televised despite the early kick offs?

And if so, why? I mean surely Setanta or Sky would have elected to show North London derby at the very least! Everton v Man Utd is usually pretty tasty as well.

Do RTE still do EPL games?

Right lads, Mickey Owen is 9-2 to be first scorer (which to be honest isnt hat great!) but on his form could be a good one.

My tip for the weekend though is N'Zogbia to score in the 90 at 5-1. He's scored in all of Newcastle's away games so far - and this ones against Derby Away!

    Whys that ?

Everton are well worth a point at home, or even a win to see them go top of the table.

based on recent form, you'd have to favour both Everton and Liverpool today.

Guess we'll find out in about 2hrs time

Coming up to half time in the Everton v Man U game it still remains 0-0, Silvestre has just been strechered of for man U to be replaced by Nani.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    Vidic scored on 83rd min.

Pompey - Pool 0-0 at half time, Kanu peno saved by Reina

Spurs one up but under constant pressure by the sound of it.

Does Rafa really want to win the Premier League?

I mean he is managing in England long enough now to know you don't rest your best players away to Portsmouth, they were lucky to get a point, its funny for me but I'm sure Pool fans must be mad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

    Carra for Sami. Er...

Momo for Mascherano, who was just back from Australia.

Yossi for Babel - much of a muchness there.

Voronin for Kuyt - as above.

Crouch for Torres - the only one to take issue with, although Torres did take a knock with Spain.

And Gerrard was never going to start after playing 2 games in a week after being injured.

Gerrard and Torres should have started.

Arguably our two best players overall.

LOL Torres and Gerrard are probably Liverpools best players along with Carra and leaving the two of them on the bench away to Portsmouth is crazy imo, If Gerrard can play two games for England he can surely start and play 60 mins, he obviously wants the Champions League more imo.

Nice goal by Jones for Sunderland, good open game.

Agree Torres should have, but i would have been suprised if Gerrard did, and we'd have been the first to criticise Rafa if he'd have started and he picked up an injury after two games in 5 days when still injured

Irish1: well Rafa has said, this year, that he wants the PL more, so your opinion is wrong

Well I'd hate to see who he's going to leave on the bench for the Champions League so :D

it'll be a strong team for the CL for the reason he'll have a few days training with them.

today - there has been no training with torres, gerrard, kuyt, babel etc since the internationals, no one who started today played in the midweek matches as far as i know.

they only came back from international duty on thurs evening, then long trip to pompey fri. no time for preperation, its hardly rocket science
