    Hi,
I was thinking of buying one of his books. I'm not sure what to think of him though. Is his stuff actually crebible? The tone of is books do not really inspire confidence in me.

They sound like they were written by marketing people but I would like to believe his advice.

I'm specifically referring to "Scrawny to Brawny"

    Thanks.

I was flicking thru Scrawny To Brawny last night in Borders and was very impressed by it. Seems to have a very good training section too.

    JB's top notch.

I have one of his ebooks (Gourmet Nutrition) I cant say that I was overly impressed but I wouldn’t have any thing bad to say about him,He has a good reputation give him a go what’s the worst that happens  ?? You end up with a not so great book:rolleyes: Im sure it wouldn’t be the first time and it probably wont be the last .;)

John Berardi is excellent at what he does - don't forget he's writing the books by and large for an Amercian audience, hence the marketing-spiel tone.

To be honest though there's very little in the books that you can't get from t-nation or his articles on-line, and a lot of the information in the stickies here is based on his work. His theories are scientifically sound, he advocates healthy, highly nutritious eating and his methods are tried and tested.

Buying his stuff is certainly not a waste of money, but take a good search around the net and you'll find a lot of the information there.
