Can anyone recommend activities in the Seattle/Vancouver area? I will (likely) be going there in Feb, as an extension of a ski visit to Whistler. I will be in the area for about 15 days with about 5/6 days skiing.

    Cheers

there is nothing else in whistler apart from the resort but its only 90 mins from vancouver.

you also check out Mt Baker if you are in Seattle, its pretty cheap and there are no queues - the mountain is not a built up resort, thats why its cheap and it gets a huge amount of snow.

there are other local mountains in Vancouver but they are not really worth going there if you are on holiday, they are small and woudl only recommend them if you are living in Vancouver.

I had originally posted this in Winter Sports, but rephrased the OP and am now looking for general info which I think the Travel/Holidays forum might help with so I have moved it.

It'd be better in "Things to do in..." :)

I think there may already be a thread about Vancouver in there.

There's loads to do around Stanley Park, including an Aquarium. Granville Island is okay. You could head out towards the Capilano bridge park for a day too.
