OK despite being very squeamish etc, i have decided that i will get laser eye surgery done (as long as im completely satisfied when i look into it properly)

my eye sight is -2.75 in each eye and has been for the past few years, im nearly 27 and in excellent health so i should be an ok candidate

anyway assuming im good to go, a few qns:

    a) where in dublin is recommended and

    b) what is the most cost 'effective' way of having this done, notice i said effective not cheapest, i dont mind going to the most expensive place if its better (these are the only set of eyes i have!!) but i would like to be smart about this.

do certain health ins co's contribute? and what are their conditions? am i right in thinking i will get tax back at my marginal rate?

are there other factors to consider re cost?
