    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good stylist in Peter Marks in Cork city centre, Merchant's Quay or Winthrop St branch. I'm looking for someone who's good with colour and a cut, especially layers.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Heya,

I would definitely recommend Cheryl in Winthrop street. It was my mate who was lucky enough to find her first...

The thing with Cheryl, apart from the fact that she is a great stylist, is that she really listens to you and takes a long-term view. So my friend went in and ever since she was a teenager she had had short hair because her hair is very very thick so it always went bushy when she tried to grow it out. Then in her mid-thirties she found Cheryl who taught her how to straighten it and manage it while it was growing out - it took alot of patience but now she has amazing hair.

With me she just really listens to me and tells me if she thinks my ideas are bad but generally does just what I ask. She doesn't just assume that you want the latest celebrity off-the-conveyor-belt look.

And even though I only go 3 or 4 times a year she has remembered me from day one and always remembers my last visit (like, how was the wedding or whatever!).

In all, I don't know what more you could want! And she isn't one of the most expensive either, I think €42 or something...
