Anyone on here ever tried running an unmodified diesel engine on cooking grade vegtable oil as fuel. I've run a 10 year old passat on a 50% mixture for a few weeks and didn't encounter any problems even during winter. A slight loss in power was appreciable but the mileage if anything increased. Was just wondering what other peoples experiences have been regarding this. Does anyone have any horror stories.
