Timetables are liable to change at any time until after registration and hence once they get firm numbers for each of the modules. It's not that big an issue really, just don't go making any plans for your Fridays that's all. :)

I did that last year and we did have Fridays of for the first semester. I cant guarantee that will be the same this year though, although I believe that it has been like that for the last no. of years.

Found First year grand, you should fly at everything, particularly if you did accounting and have good lateral thinking and common sense abilities. That and a bit of study should see you through. the only hard module is law in the second semester. I did intermediate German, It was reasonably good, but personally I felt that it was below Leaving Cert Standard and other than the continued exposure It did little or nothing to improve my level or German. ( Maybe though I was looking for to much though I got an a1 in the Leaving, and have spent a summer in Germany)

I found that too with Spanish (got the a1 but no summer in Spain). By the second semester of 2nd year I got sick of the fact it wasn't improving and looking at the timetable for third year Spanish was worse than any other language as it didn't progress to the next level, it just covered specific topics. I gave it up, but now I kind of wish I hadn't because at least the course was stopping my level from dropping too much.

just did af, and every semester we usually had a day off, or one of the days would just be tutorials (pretty much a day off then!) they used to put tutorials on fridays which was just stupid as everyone would be out thursday nights so no one could get up frrday mornins.
