see you next week wcoop a boards player has to take one of these down

As Eamonn notes, the WCOOP starts on Friday with a $215 6 - max NLHE. 3000 starting chips // the regular tournament structure with all the blind and ante levels // and a half - hour clock. This should make for a lot of play and, overall, none of these events should be crapshoots along the lines of the regular Sunday Majors.

The drawback to entering these events is that the variance is massive; the best players in the world will show up; there will be no overlay on anything.

On the pluside, sats have been running sats for quite some time and that, allied to the marketing drive undertaken by Stars, should ensure that the fields have plenty of bad players that have qualified to take a shot (*raises hand :( ).

Anyway, I will be donating to the 6 - max NLHE and PLO events next Friday and Saturday. Plus the $530 NLHE on the Sunday (regular Sunday Mill structure except with 30 min blinds). Hopefully a few boardsies will partake in some of the events and we get a big result.

    Let us gogogo!! :)

Check out the schedule on the client. I wouldn't imagine you would want to play that many events.

This series is so great for pokerstars for getting people back to the site. I haven't played on their site for most of the year but assume I'll have to redeposit for the HORSE event.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 658 ✭✭✭Hawk Eye

Even though my stars a/c is rigged I'll probably still play some of the $200 tourneys and the heads up one.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 421 ✭✭StraddleFor6

One hour to kick off of the 6-max $200 event. The 400k gtd has been well and truly crushed. Close to 600k now. Could hit 800k knowing stars.

I guess I'll say thanks Eamonn.

4130. Spent most of the last hour yoyoing between 1200 and 2000 and just 3 bet shoving. Eventually I shove my BB over a standard button open and he calls with AJ after banking. My KQ hits first card out and gets there. Meh. I'm making a lot of mistakes.

    Will hang in there.
