Have been talking for a while about leaving chorus mmds and getting sky +, in terms of offers is now as good a time as any? Do people think the 6 months free sports/movies are gone for ever? Any of the installers know whats the next offer.

At the moment they are doing two months half price and I can get the sky + for free.

I think you need to take out sports or movies in order to get the two months half price but I think you can cancel the premium channels after the two months. But basically the current offer sucks. Sometimes they have a good offer comming up to christmas. Last christmas the HD box was half price.

    Thanks for that ice,
I suppose what is tempting me at the moment is that I can still get the sky + box for free under the introduce a friend offer (saving €149 & getting €75 for them :) )

Do you reckon I 'd be better off waitng for the Christmas offers?

Is that for definite that the friend is getting E75, they didnt give that last month?

The nice lady in Cork said cause I had enquired in August and she had my details I could still have the offer.

Seems a good offer to me ??

The €75 for the friend, is only on normal Sky not Sky+. The friend has to waiver the €75 in order for you to get your sky+.

Also, both the friend and the new subscriber have to remain with sky for the next 12 months.

The same happened me. I missed the deadline for the offer but managed to get a few weeks back.

I had to jump through a few hoops but I got the sky+ for free and one month free. I did have to pay a 45 or 49 Euro installation fee though. I guess the first month free cancels that out. It's a good offer.

Thanks for that Dopey, ya I think its a good offer as well, am afraid if I wait might get longer free premiums but end up paying for the sky +, so balances out in end. Did u change from another provider and if so would u recommend it?
    (I'd hate if I had a big decesion to make :o )

Ya, but i think all new subscribers have to commit for a year and in return you get to keep all the gear if u then cancel sub.
