    This is my major problem, i am grand with women normally but in a bar or anywhere for that matter i always have trouble going up to a girl and initiating a conversation. How many times ive kicked myself for not chancing it i dont know. I need help with this as im pushing on in age now and cant sit in the corner being the shy teenager, even worse i find that in order to counteract this i drink sometimes to excess to chat up women, and it seems to be more and more aswel. Id like to head out somewhere where i dont need a drink and talk to women or even in a bar to be sober and start a conversation. Any help is greatly and truly appreciated.

    walk up to her,take the ice out of her drink and stand on it.Then say "now the ice is broken,mind if i buy you a drink".You'll more than likely get a smack in the face though!Just be yourself,confident,introduce yourself and make lots of eye contact when talking.Be really interested in her and what she does and you should be fine :)

    The whole 'club' scene in ireland is a bit crap these days. Irish women generally dont respond well to genuine honest guys making a clumsy yet brave approach. However, you get better at this with practice. If a woman turns you down, forget about it. It only takes 1 to say yes. Also, try other routes such as online dating or speed dating. You dont need to put enormous pressure on yuorself to find a date.

    Now thats out of the way. Just be yourself, offer to buy a drink, compliment her and see how it goes but the main thing in this is confidence. No matter what you think you actually can do it so don't go over having doubts... as Nike say...... "Just Do it". ;)

    `Hey there are too many penguin jokes on here.
    One other thing, if yopu are approaching someone, make sure to make eye contact. DO NOT look at your shoes or even slightly off. Look interested and you do that by looking her in the eye.
