Extracting music from .WMV

i have a .wmv file and i want to extract the music from it to put it on my mp3 player. Is this possible and if so how is it done?

download a program called audacity, set it to record what you hear...

then play your .wmv file and then cut out the pause at the start of your track from when you hit record and actually played the .wmv then you can export as mp3.
