Percolation Test "Expiry Date" ?

    Hi all,

Had a percolation test done 2 years back for a planning app for septic tank etc.

This percolation test passed and the appliaction was granted.

I now want to submit a new application to move the percolation area due to a extension I am planning.

Question is : Will this 2 year old test/site characterisation form be ok to use or is it likely that the council will want a new test done?

    Cheers

    F

If you are extending I would imagine that you are not moving the percolation area by much so the original assessment should suffice but it does vary from county to county.

However a quick phone call to the local planning office will sort you out.

FWIW I needed to reapply as my original outline application lapsed and all I did was to attach the original test results to the new application.

PS I did NOT move the percolation area, therefore the council were happy to use the original test results.
