I think its DRM every night after midnight.
They have done a few 24 tests before.

    DAB is only BandIII

DRM is LW, MW, SW replacement for AM that gives near FM quality, There is a DRM version for VHF that is superior to DAB.

DAB uses an MP2 codec and DRM use AAC.

DAB can be L-band; and has been run on Band II (Poland) using non-standard equipment but otherwise identical coding...

Does DRM+ do SFN properly? At the moment DAB Band III is the most sensible system for national networks just based on spectrum efficiency, but if DRM+ does SFN...

I recall an article during trials an area where 6 overlapping transmitters were used without problems. It uses cofdm so it would have the inherent ability to do this.

Deutsche Welle have done a test using two short wave transmitters broadcasting thousands of miles away from each other in DRM using the same frequency for SFN testing.

What is the situation on the availability of DRM receivers?

All I can find is the one released by Morphy Richards. Priced at £149.99 Sterling. Anyone got one of these? Any opinions on it's performance?
The Sangean DRM-40 still hasn't become available.

The scanner I have the AOR AR8200 Mk3 will not receive 252khz. It starts from 500khz. Pointless me getting the accessories to receive 252 DRM at the moment.

Watty! You did tell me what I needed for my scanner and one did note them. Where is that 'safe' place I stored them? :(

Edit: The Sangean DRM 40 looks to have been removed from their website?
Edit: Found One released in July 2007 but on sale in Germany only!

Yes, it even does SFN on HF transworld .... :)
One of the design goals to reduce the frequencies needed in one HF (SW) band for worldwide coverage.

I presume the DRM tests you mention on 252khz are in conjuction with the event in Amsterdam!

I'm listening to it now - even with the satellite box and wireless network on it's coming in well here in London.

I'm waiting for my 455->12kHz convertor unit to come in here, have a Sony receiver modified to output 455...

Does anyone have a sample of the AAC stream to hear the quality? Looks like just 13kb/sec bitrate?
