Employee rights over commission owed

    Hey,

I am just looking for some information if anyone has any. I left my last job during the summer. I left for personal reasons so it was a little sudden. Upon handing in my notice they told me to leave that very same day (my notice period was 2 weeks which i was fully prepared to work). Also I worked in a sales related job and was owed a considerable amount in commission. They said this would be paid to me once it was payed to them. It usually takes over a month to do this.
So the situation now is, I never got paid for my notice period which they didn't want me to work. But I left this as I had other stuff in my life to deal with. But the commission was something I did want, as I worked hard for it and expected them to just pay it no problem. This unfortunately is not happening. My manager is just ignoring me. I usually am not one for making a big deal out of things. But it is a good bit of money and plus I am SO annoyed that my manager is acting in such an unprofessional and undignified manner. So I would like to try and follow this up by any means possible.
Anyone any idea on my rights with regards the commission. There is nothing in the contract so I am assuming I may be screwed on that front. It just states my notice period.

    Cheers

Go to a Rights Officer under the Payment Of Wages Act. You are entitled to be paid your commission and for your notice period.
