Where's Joe Duffy?

Seems like we've been suffering Damien "sure, sure" O'Reilly forever.

And I could swear Joe made a reappearance a couple of weeks ago, saying he was back, and then, hey presto, he's gone the next day and hasn't been heard of since.

Anyone else hear him that day or was I dreaming?

Whatever has happened to Joe?

He was back for two weeks (I think) then bizzarly he went on another holliday for 3 weeks. So he's back on Monday - possibly. If I've added all that up correctly.

Was wondering that myself.

Couldn't stand him when used to help out Gaybo but like him on Liveline.

Just happy that woman who used to do Liveline in the summer isn't doing it anymore.

Hes not a muppet or a moron but he pretends to be a moron, they force an angle on you when you ring in and if your opinion is thought to be to strong your not taken but on the other hand you can provoke enough people your on no problem.

When,a couple of months ago we had the Dublin bloke on saying, "Im not a criminal , its none of your business where I get my money" (paraphrasing, actually Im paraphrasing my own version of him)and then his mate? rings in from Port Laoise prison and the abuse that was allowed on air for quite a while was a totally ridiculous. It is a crime to make phone calls from prison on a mobile , so why is Joe not prosecuted for taking part in the episode. It culminated in the worst abuse Ive heard on any radio station. It made for good publicity and increased viewing figures.

Sammy the Egyptian duck lover who was on today was waved goodbye withA blessing to Allah from Joe. Sammy did himself no favours today as his anger/temper rose and rose till at one stage he banged a drum,well it was more like a pot.His entire behaviour pattern was of one whod been found out but the ego was not prepared to lie down. Funniest thing ive heard for ages but the backlash wont necessarily be to nice from Low cal red knecks.

Ah come on, best entertainment out there. The fella yesterday with the halal duck was amazing. In the end he got so wound up he hit what sounded like a gong near him. Joe couldn't get a word in edge ways.

Joe usually does that when bidding farewell to a Muslim caller. He does it out of courtesy/respect - not as a joke.

because there are certain prats out there who, for some inexplicable reason, prefer him to Ray Foley

If I wanted to hear Joe Duffy I just listen to Gift Grub taking the piss out of him
