There's a huge chance (90% if I had to give you a number) there'll be no snow in Europe outside of glacier resorts in November. The season usually officially begins around 8th December and most times then there is no snow.

I second that. You'd be mad to go in November. Even December is dodgy.

I went to Livigno in Italy last week in December last year and just about had snow.

The resort is between 1800m and 3000m

You really need to go high to get good piste conditions.

Would not consider November at all ever.

Andorra is great for beginners. And I agree with others, don't go in November. Go in late December, January.

There's also a Winter Sports forum if you wanted more advice:

Austria is fab, it's my favourite country in the world, summer or winter. It's got great atmosphere for skiing but I agree with the others, November is far too early. If you really have to go in November try Kaprun. There's a glacier there you can ski in all year round. I've skied in October there and is was ok, not many runs open but we had enough to keep us occupied. It'd be ok if you were all beginners though.
