Hey everyone.

Just to make it perfectly clear to everyone, I'm a complete noob to poker. I kinda understand the rules but I've never really played it tat much before.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone know of any sites that I could play poker on that doesn't use real money. I know that there is a sticky with some online poker joints but all of them seem to be real moneez.

I'm just wanting to play to familiarise myself with the rules more and above all, just for fun.

Haven't played much with play money, but I imagine most do. PartyPoker is one for definite. Google play money and poker sites also.

Most sites have play money tables.

To start off just download Paddy Power Poker and install it.

Register and play on the play money tables.

All poker sites offer play money games. You can download any poker client and open an account without having to deposit money. Some of the main sites (and there are loads) are:

Paddy Power

Absolute Poker
yada yada yada

There are also places that give you free money to sign up with no deposit from you (usually $25 or so), and this will allow you to play the microstakes games 1c/2c which although are for tiny money, give a more realistic poker experience than play money.

I dont know of a site that doesnt have play money tables.

If you dont want to go through the trouble of downloading and installing a site you can play with free money on a java based site such as pokerroom

hold em, omaha, 7 card, razz, horse etc

by all means, start off with play money to get used to hand values, betting, postional play etc etc

However dont read to much into the results - 99% of people on play money play hands that is not comparable to the way people play real money hands.....

IPoker (paddy power / green joker / vc...etc..etc) have 10cent sit and gos (10 player mini tournaments)... will be far more realistic then play money if you have a few euro to burn.....

I think that you should stick a tenner in and play 1c/2c. Play money teaches you nothing but bad habits IMO.

Don't bother with that, sites will give you free money without depositing. I went straight to .5/1 limit, when I was starting, with the 50 dolla Party poker gave me, heh..
