    hi

Have the basic garmin etrex, find it excellent.
however will eat up the batteries, so you can put it on a battery saving setting, which takes a reading every few seconds.

available from milletts, blanchardstown and great outdoors

Maplin on Jervis St sell one of the etrex model's sorry I have no idea which one it is.

You could also try a few sailing shop's at a guess.

What have you got against buying online? GPS's here are vastly overpriced compared to online stockists. Possibly the cheapest source would be a US based retailer, but if you want one from a European source, i.e. no potential problems with warranties etc., try www.gpsw.co.uk. There are others around who may be marginally cheaper, but I've bought two GPS's and a few accessories from them and they've been very good. Just a satisfied customer, etc. etc.
