macbook pro trackpad is awful

I've posted about this before but no one wanted to comment.

The trackpad on my new mbp is just awful. Small movement with a finger are not replicated by small movements of the cursor. It was the same with the test one in the O2 shop so I know it is functioning the way it is supposed to.

I have downloaded iMouseFix which does improve the situation slightly, but the trackpad is still infuriating.

Oh and "ignore accidental input" is off, so that can't be blamed.

Anyone love/hate the macbook pro trackpad, or have any suggestions?

Is there no other way of adjusting it?

Well I've played with the acceleration settings in "system settings".

I've got it from frustratingly unusable down to slightly annoying.

Obviously if I'm working in blender or something I'm using a separate mouse so thats fine, but if I'm on the road....

After playing with the mbp in the O2 shop (for a considerable length of time:D ),
I thought it would be something I would get used to. Had it for over a week now though...

It's the only thing that did not thrill or delight me about my new mbp! :)

I'm starting out with Blender... not getting too far though.
    Any recommended tutorials etc?

I'm also just starting. At the moment I'm working through this:

Plenty of material to start with here imho.

So far I have made the man with a hat from this guide. Also some mountains and a fairly impressive looking wolf like creature thingy. :p
