I know there's a few of you on Boards with this game and I think it needs to be discussed.

Firtstly..... wow. The control system is perfect. Takes a little while to get used to but when you do it's hard to go back to the normal joypad for FPS. I tried playing the Darkness last night and it just felt awkward in comparison.

There was one thing though that bothered me about the game so far (I'm only about 4 hours into it) is the first scene.

It seems all to familiar......Hmmm...... oh yeah, it's a carbon copy of the opening scene of Halo!!! You're on a ship, have to go see the captain, you get there and the ship is boarded. You fight your way to your "escape pod" and then end up helping the resitance on the nearby planet.

All in all though I'm loving it. The bar is raised.

Not sure what chip to get, heard some games don't work with some chips and I'm hoping I can still play online with it chipped.

I've the wiifree (I think :)) got it done on boards by Qbot. Works for every game I've tried so far, and I've tried nearly all of them. Also works fine on line with Mario Strikers, only problem is NTL doesn't work as well. I'd highly recommend getting it done.

Add to that an emulator/rom dvd I found and now I have access to a huge backcatelogue of games all using my lovely new wavebird.

I just finished it this morning. 92% in just over 17 and a half hours. I'd recommend anyone that's played Prime 1 or 2 to start it on veteran difficulty instead of normal. Some bosses are too easy, the final one especially. Great game overall.

Only issues with the chips is that some of the US and Jap games don't work, there is a full list online of all releases, just google it.
Online play isn't affected and because the chip only alters way the drive detects protection it doesn't affect the actual function of the machine proper, so no issues with future bios releases.

This game just gets better and better, not as confusing as Metroid Prime Echoes was, more similar to Metroid Prime, the first one.
The visuals are top notch and plenty of running, gunning and double jumping, bt thankfully without the Turok style sudden deaths.

I just got swinging on the grapple beam too! Its Tarzan-tastic!
