Pillar Caffrey Gets Another Year.

As I'm sure everyone is aware Dublin manager Paul Caffrey and his backroom team were given another year at the helm of he Dubs.

My own opinion would be he earned the right to another year, considering the 3 in a row Leinster and all that.
I also think If we have any chance next year we need to retain Whelan in Midfield Pick .We stand a better chance of Whelan staying if the Pillar is there for one more year.
We need to replace one or two players. I won't name any as I don't like taking parting shots at any persons that donned the Jersey.

In Summary, I’m glad he’s got the extension.

I was just wondering what other peoples opinions are on this.
    :)

Ross McConnell should play every match at full back in the league. He is the answer I think but he needs a bit of time. Shocko in the corner will strengthen us defensively also. Bryan Cullen should be moved to centre forward doing a Dooher role.Thats what I would do and maybe another few tinkerings here and there. The last time we won an AI was when we had 4 Leinster's in a row. History will repeat itself!!

Is this not being discussed in the what next for Dublin thread?

I think it is good that he is staying.

So do I, for what its worth. He's brought them on a lot over the last three years. I think one last drive next year is the least he deserves.

Well, plenty to play for next year. Chances are its Pillar and Whelans last year if Whelo stays and probably a few others also. Hopefully they can get themselves an AI medal before they leave.

    yea but
    8+3 = 11
    9+5 = 14
    0+9 = 08

that goes 8 11 14 - going up in threes...

    Disastrous Maths!

The Pillar deserves another year to try and deliver. There won't be any shame if he leaves without a Sam either, he's built a good team but they've been beaten by better.
