I just heard today that John O'Donoghue said that we'd bid for the 2024 Olympics. Has anyone else heard this?

Waste of time, and undoubtedly, vast quantities of sponduliks...

Could be good, thought i doubt we would have a chance.

It would at least force infrastructure to be built while also giving us world class facilities to use for further sporting and other events.

Hah hah hah! Yeah, I can imagine the final of the 100m sprint taking place in Santry stadium. Hilarious stuff altogether.

    2024 or 2124?
I think even 2124 would be a little optimistic tbh.

Don't mind what that luder John O' Donoghue says. He's more full of hot air than one of Steve Fossett's old balloons

John O' Donoghue - A complete gob****e. Another gem of a FF politician we were smart enough to elect.

It'd be great if it could happen, but Dublins just not big enough and doesn't have the infrastructure to host the Olympics. Nor will it have it by 2024 I think.
