Using that for Pay TV to avoid paying the proper amount for the programs in EU is a criminal offence.

Helping to do it, or obstructing investigating officer is an offence too. I think up to £5000 fine per offence, equipment seizure and possibility of up to 6 months jail (for helper or obstructer).

    Watty,

I won't be using it for anything illegal. I simply would like to get Sky reception directly onto my computer. Reasons are numerous, such as want to be able to record "other channels" (FTA & FTV channels), especially during the Rugby world cup, don't want to have a receiver in my room, and would like to use the features of MythTV.

I have a full Sky+ installation and in fact I'm getting HD installed with multiroom TODAY (I bought a HD TV last week). Those are the only purposes I'm looking for a lend. I have 2 Sky cards that I can use in it.

It's also a project as I'm trying to get a Ubuntu installation that hands down, flat out beats anything windows can do, and this would be a big step (MythTV with HD that is).

I assure you I'm only looking to view channels available in the UK & Ireland and that I'm legally entitled to watch.
