Anyone going this Thursday, usually a good source of pics!

Might get the train down. Is the station far from the beach?

I will probably go down, first race starts at 2.15. It will be packed down there

Not far at all Darren, 2 min and you'd be on the beach. It's a little further up where they actually take place.

I don't know if I'll make it or not this year.

The train will leave you about 5-10 min walk away. If the weather holds, it should be great. I captured some good images there last year.

here's the running times...

It's on again on the 11th, pity it's only on during the day (they should fit them with headlamps and run at night)

just set the nikon up on a tripod the night before for a bit of time lapse snapping

So it is during (working)day? Damned, I have to take day off to go there!
Pleae, give me more information if it is worth to take a day off, because that is the event I would like to attend (with my camera, of course - on course).
