Need some advice from people who've been to any or all of the following places ........

    Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Albufeira

I intend booking a weeks holiday in mid October, travelling on my own, to one of the above but know very little about any of them.

I'm looking for somewhere lively with good nightlife, lots of talent, but not overrun with Brits or Celtic Jerseys.

    All opinions very much appreciated.

Good luck with this one! We went Dec 9 - 16 one year (2000?)to Gran Canaria, play del Ingles I think it was. Nice, but we had our own company.

lots of brits and celtic jerseys is what I mean.

I've been to both Tenerife and Lanzarote in September. Tenerife I found very quite compared to Lanzarote. If I had a choice I'd go to Lanzrote again. Dont know about the other two.

I've been to all of them. Albuferia will be fairly cool in Mid Oct and the other 3 will have plenty of Celtic Jerseys and Brits. Ever think of Rhodes ? I was there last October and it was beautiful. Hot up 'til about 6ish, the Old Town is worth a day or 2 sightseeing and very few of the people you're trying to avoid.

Stay on the south of the island as the beaches are sandy, the north are shingle.
