I've lived on €80 p/w when I wasn't working and was able to survive just fine. In my case I just needed to learn when and where to go out during the week, you'll save big money if you manage that.

    PRE-DRINKING!! <---- remember that word.

    Students live by it.

Heres a step by step for you :)

You go to the off licence
    buy a few beers
invite a buddy or 5 around
    chat, have fun, drink beers
    then go out

i was trying to look for a list on my mates bebo page. basically in dublin every night of the week there is some form of student night i.e cheap booze

i know fibbers is famour for €3 Thursdays, dont know if the dcu bar still does €3 tuesdays but either way you will find a way to go out and have fun every night of the week....if you so choose

    redz on monday
the hub (in town) on tuesday
    crawdaddy on wednesday
    fibbers on thursday
i work at the weekend so everything's a bit messed up going-out wise!

100 would be plenty, just dont bring your atm card out with you, too many times ive spent my weeks money and next weeks rent in one night!

aye but you queue for about five hours to get in and then can't get a breath all night. XXI across the street do €3 drinks on Mondays and there's room to get yer groove on

it depends on what you plan on spending tbh!

food on campus is expensive but tesco is a short stroll away where makings for sambos can be purchased. bringing lunch in with you saves lots.

you'll spend whatever money you have with ya. orientation week, freshers week and a few other weeks you will spend more than on other random weeks in college.

€3 tuesdays will go ahead in dcu, so there's one night sorted!!
