How will this go? The Minor Championship isn't the biggest game on the day but they produce some great games.

Always liked Galways approach to football, so for that tenuous reason, I wil go for them.

Minor is always hard to predict. Both semis were very good games so hopefully this will be another good one. Nearly impossible to call a winner though. Galway were a little bit fortunate to beat Kerry so I'd make Derry slight favourites. The bookies go Derry 4/6 Galway 6/4 Draw 7/1. About right I'd say.

Galway's number 13 Jonathan Ryan was very poor the last day and should have been withdrawn earlier than he was. The players who shone against Kerry will need big games again. Derry look a good team and had Laois hammered the first day until they lost concentration in the last few minutes, when they thought they had it won. This could easily be a better game than the senior final.

On those odds Galway would be worth a wee bet.

Derry not bad, but questions to answer after the 2 SF's

Derry, like their seniors, seem to be a very big physically strong team. They work the ball well into the FF line and are able to take points from long distance.

Galway were lucky to get over Kerry the last 2. If it wasn't for the 2 goals Galway got in the first half, then Kerry would have eased through to the final. Also, some of Galway's clearances from the back-line and thier marking in general left a lot to be desired.

Derry have to be favourites for this game and I think thwy will take it by about 4 points.
