Does anyone know how to get the best view of the airshow without actually being in Portrush, say further east along the coast? Any replies would be appreciated.

    Yorky,

The Show is held mostly in the Beach front between the two headlands. the Fast jets display too far out for any decent photos.

You wont see anything much east or west of the town.

Best vantage is the eastern headland.

Get the train in from Colraine to Portrush avoid traffic, I used that 2 years ago and it was perfect.

Weather does not looks o good though!!, Drizzle all day say....I think I'll stay in bed!!

    cheers

    George

Here are seven pictures from the Red Arrows performance (and others) during the NI Int'l Airshow 2009 in Portrush. The RA performance was amazing, as was the sight of the A380.

Weather wasn't fantastic but no rain thankfully!
