    Kata & Kumite

    Scotland have put a fun but tough challenge to Ireland's best kumite and kata competitors to prove their worth.

    This Challenge is to be held in the NEW FSKD Dojo in Ballycasheen. http://killarneymartialarts.bebo.com...

    We have challengers for most, however WE NEED YOUR HELP to ensure their are challengers for all.

    The Competition:
    Events: Kata, Team Kata, Ultimate Kata Champion (Junior & Senior) & Kumite

    Gold Medals = 10 points, Silver Medals = 5 points, Bronze Medals= 5 points to any particular Team. In the Ultimate Kata Champion 10 Points awarded to First Place. In Team Kata, Points are awarded to the team.

    (Each Team should have minimum of One Referee)

    Kata will be judged on a points system.
    Kumite will be judged on a 5 point system with no contact allowed to the facial area for Juniors and Beginners, and Light Contact for Adults and Advanced Students. Appropriate Sparring gear & protection is mandatory.

    On final Scoring, The Team with the most points keeps the shield for 12 months, and their Team Name is engraved on the shield.

    Next round to be held in Scotland.

    An unbelievably high standard of competition is GUARANTEED.
