Looking to bring the gf over to the west for a friday and sat night in November (9th and 10th) and just looking for some suggestions. She'd like somewhere with a spa!

I really havent seen any of that side of the country (except one wkend in Galway) so any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Knockranny hotel in Westport, Mayo. It has a spa as well. I think that hotel is pretty expensive but there are actually a good few other places in Westport anyway. Its a really nice town great for a weekend getaway.

Didn't realize you were coming from Waterford. I would drive it myself either, it would be far too long!
Definitely go for Galway. I stayed in Days Hotel last time I was there and it was grand. There wasn't a spa as such but it did have a swimming pool and sauna etc

you could also go to killarney (plenty of nice hotels and spas there and then do the ring of kerry, or go to the burren in county clare (amazing place)

westport and galway are by far and away the two best towns in the West imo.

Clifden is really nice but on the small side and better to visit there in the summer.

a hotel in Killarney which would be lovely is the Aghadoe Heights hotel, it has lovely views of the lakes and that frm the rooms.

as for galway, the Radission SAS in the city centre is lovely, they do weekend packages & they also have a spa and thermal suite.
