    Any questions, please ask

Ah, once again it's 83 or 75. Will I have the motivation to drop to 75 having cut to 77 the week before? I doubt it, I think I'll just have to hit 83 and muffins.

this will be my first time competing -83. consider yourselves warned.:)

    The weight categories are:

    Under 62Kg
    Under 68Kg
    Under 75Kg
    Under 83Kg
    Under 92Kg
    Over 92Kg

    Hopefully that'll clear it up.

Roper,if you start eating today, you can make -92.
Alot of ppl are gonna tell you that it is impossible, that you dont have what it takes to make it,but.....I believe in you.

    :D

To get into -92kg all you have to do is be 83kg! Roper you can do that, come on show some faith.

I'd be impressed if you were in +92kg. No one has cardio at +92kg.

To be honest, I'm adopting a wait and see strategy.

I'll be in one of three categories, but it depends who goes where.

    Are you chasing or avoiding?

    I'm after you Mark!

No, just waiting to see where the rest of the team is slotting in so I can spread it around a little, as I like to do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 235 ✭✭The Shane

At least one of us should chase Mark...

    Rock paper scissors to decide

Missed this on first read, I have cardio!
Eoghan - can't see me making under 92 for a subs tournament (same day weigh in being the snag), I normally cut out 2 or 3 kilos of water weight to make it when I fight, not doing that to fight on the same day, so its the fatties for me!

Is the adult tournament definitely on the 14th the Sunday? Just the form prints with the 13th at the top.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 181 ✭✭Marty Mc

Was wondering the very same...sunday competition??

    Please confirm?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,448 ✭✭✭Roper

Think it's a mistake lads. I got a mail saying the Juniors were on Sunday so I assume its just the wrong date.

    Colm,
Any cool/bright/plain posters for this comp that I can stick up the gym?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 227 ✭✭mmaireland.com

    Seniors - 14th

    ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,577 ✭✭✭Colm_OReilly

    Sorry about the confusion.

    Juniors on SUNDAY OCT 14th

I'll get basic posters out tonight hopefully.

ShaneT, I'll get that mail to you as well.

Colm has, eh, legendary juggling skills. Hand eye co-ordination is his thing.

Eoghan - It was meant to be a secret, but Colm is bringing in a fully grown Brown Bear for me to wrestle. I'm thinking armbar.

    TTT,

Time is running out for those of you who are cutting weight!

Thanks to everyone who has entered so far, apologies if I haven't confirmed every txt I've received but if you got a delivery report, you're in!

Coaches - can you pimp this event out to your athletes this week please?

Novices - if you're sitting on the fence thinking about entering, ENTER! We've already gotten some entries from beginners and the longer you leave it til compete the more pressure you put on yourself.

Also on the rumour mill is some people who've promised they'll make weight are now thinking of stepping up. I'm brought back to last year's Dublin Open - which saw most of the big names move up because of lack of dietary planning. For shame boys, do you really want to repeat your disgrace.

hmmm the week after Tribal Walfare... we'll have to see.
Plus due to lack of fatness anymore I'd have no excuse not be make 68!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,577 ✭✭✭Colm_OReilly

Less than a week to go now. Who's still sitting on the fence? Who's made the commitment to cut? Who's sitting comfortably in their weight class? Which will be the hottest division - 68? 75? 83? 92?

I want to volunteer to officiate at the weigh ins and bring my bag of donuts. Colm just entered anothe KO competitor.

I've heard rumours of people not making the weights they said they would. I'm sickened.

Time for some people to stand up tall and apologise for wasting our time with stupid fruitless smack talk.

I'm not throwing in the towel until I can't cry out any more water.

Last minute entries still coming in, which is nice to see.

Remember, prizes for sexiest slam and tastiest submission on the day.

Best of luck to all the competidors tomorrow.

We've currently 65 registered competitors, which means there's space still available for those sitting on the fence/unsure if they'll make weight.

Weigh ins at 10am, competition at 11.

Best of luck, hope you all have a great day!

So would throwing someone to the ground while in a pleather thong or making a guy tap with a lemon sponge cake with a nice frosted icing on it count? what if you tapped them with the 'tasty' cake after slaming them in said sexy pleather thong, would you win two prizes then??
But serously, Best of luck to all competing tomorrow, sounds like theres gonna be a great turn out which should make for a great days rolling.
