Hotels in Edinburgh

(apologise if there is already a thread about this, the forum search doesnt seem to work)
Basically I need to book a hotel for my Dad in Edinburgh.
Could I have some recommendations please..
I used hotel.com etc etc but they majority of them seem to be booked out..

I stayed in Jurys Inn in the city centre.Very good location and clean.You can't go wrong with a Jurys Inn really.

Also stayed in Holiday Inn near Murrayfield. Nice hotel also, But Jurys is more central

I stayed in the Point Hotel a couple of years ago, it was pretty nice.

I stayed in the Ramada Mount Royal on princess street:-

We thought it was good, excellent location etc... We got a pretty good rate, around €100/night... its on princess street over looking the park.... also the bus from the airport stops pretty much right outside it...
