I'm printing on some deckle edged handmade paper postcards, and it looks ridiculous with straight edges on the image. I looked up a tutorial which uses a selection on a layer mask on a solid layer, with a random filter applied to give it a texture but i want something even more random, not unlike those ones that look like brush strokes at the edge. Can't seem to find the right google term. Any ideas? V. frustrating

Cheers guys. Nothing quite what I'm after on that page (although there are very interesting polaroid thingies...) but I've decided to go low-fi and distress the print in real life instead :D Very authentic!

New layer, fill white, add adjustment layer, paint out the centre of the image with a relatively hard brush, select motion blur, motion blur in the edges?

Not the best description, but you'll know.

Ended up trying something similar actually, using a solid colour layer with a mask, and selecting a border so I could only paint within that (used one of the dry brush options) - but the edges didn't seem hard enough. The sandpaper (well, nail file actually) seemed to do the trick though ;)
