Decorating Bridal Suite

I'm Bridesmaid for my friend and her sister who is also BM wants to decorate the bridal suite the night of the wedding with streamers baloons etc. I don't think she would like it and I would rather do something romantic like rose petals etc. So basically I'm asking for your opinions on this situation.
Would you be horrified to arrive up to your room on your wedding night to find streamers and silly string all over your bed? Or is it just a bit of fun? It personally wouldn't bother me but I'm not a romantic like this girl and certainly don't want to do anything that may upset her on the wedding day.

Oh dear god, if I was getting married and there were streamers, balloons and silly string on the bed or anywhere in the room I would have a hissy fit!! That is just an AWFUL AWFUL idea!! This sister who is the bridesmaid obviously hasn't got the first clue about wedding suite etiquette.

Seriously lissy, go with your own head - the rose petals are the way to go. It's nice and romantic. Anyway, I don't agree with the whole "it being a bit of fun" (the streamers and balloons). You've already spent the whole day having fun with your family and friends, when you get back to your room, the last thing you'll want is more jokey stuff, you'd like a bit of romance with your husband!
