Most you have won on Lotto??

OK, I have been playing the Lotto for years now - both Irish & Euro, and even buy a UK ticket when I am over there - and I am still a p1ss poor peasant :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: .

From what I can remember, the most I have won on the Lotto in one go was about 38 euro for 4 fecking numbers.

So, what's the most you have won??

I did a syndicate once, I bought the tickets and we won €300. we all got a fiver each....
the most I've won on my own is €50 on a scratch card.

Most I've won is about €4-8 on scratch cards, rarely buy them though or play the lotto so makes sense.

I've won a few half decent amounts.
somewhere around the €250 mark many years ago (could have been £. I can't really remember).
4 numbers one time. It was some sort of special draw, so the prize was 100. Again, I can't remember if it was punts or euros. I do remember it was the weekend of my birthday though, so that was nice.
Haven't won anything recently though.

I won €15 on Wednesday night. most I've ever won wouldn't be a whole lot more than that, maybe €25 or so.

In April of this year, I purchased a €4 quick-pick (with plus) and won €350 (missed the Lotto Plus One jackpot of €350,000 by one number - had a 3 and the winning number was a 5). So close but yet so far.

A guy in work has an aunt who plays her own numbers consistently. She failed to do so one very rainy day and her numbers came up and she missed €3M (a true story). Happened about 2 years ago.

There is only one guarantee with the lotto; if you don't play, you won't win.
At the same time, odds are that your won't win. If you can afford to lose a few euro each week, then there is no problem! It can be fun dreaming about being a millionaire.

My OH does the lotto every week without fail, last year he got 5 numbers on the main lotto and got 1260 euro .... given all the 4 euro's he's paid out in recent times, I reckon he's about even.

I do the same 5 numbers every week and throw in one random number so that if I don't do it and my numbers come up the worst off I know I'll definitely be is for the match 5 prize.

my dad got me to buy him a ticket about 3 years ago - had just turned 18 - he said just get me a €8 quick pick. i went into the shop and just got a €8 quick pick with plus, now my dad never plays plus and i didn't realise that plus was on the ticket until we were well away from the shop.

so the draws came up and he won €12,000, needless to say i got my fair share of the money. :P
