The chap who's directing it has a great track record with Stephen King adaptations, having directed The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption. Haven't read the story, but the trailer struck that the setup was a little formulaic, have to wait and see. Noticed on imdb.com this guy's next film is a version of Ray Bardbury's Farenheit 451, that will be worth looking out for.

I've been looking forward to this one, and the trailer doesn't dissapoint so far.

This was actually supposed to be Fran Darabont's next movie after Shawshank, so I don't now what happened there. It was a great short story so hopefully he'll do as a good as job as he did with TSSR an TGM.

Been following this one for awhile. The trailer is excellent, shows just enough to wet your appetite.

I have a lot of respect for both Daranbont and Jane. Neither of them has really to disappoint yet, though I am rather disappointed that the Punisher 2 will not be starring Jane. Instead we get Ray Stevenson best known for playing Titus in Rome.

As mentioned on my post on the latest 1408 thread I hope that Darabont can do a decent turn to a Stephen King Horror story, so far there's only been 3 decent horror adaptations Salems Lot (Tobe Hooper Mini Series) The Shining and I'd add 1408 after seeing it tonight. Fingers crossed on this one

Anyone else think the trailer for The Mist, makes it look an awful lot like the mini series Storm of the Centuary? Jeffrey DeMunn even appears in both.

The Dead Zone film is excellent, and the TV show is'nt half bad either. Carrie, Silver Bullet, Cujo, It, Needful Things, The Stand, Storm of the Centuary, Dream catcher, Riding the Bullet, Desperation and Nightmares and Dreamscapes are all very watchable.

Yeah they are watchable but don't scare me like the 3 that I listed above. Also they are not as good as the books.

Dreamcatcher was rubbish in my opinion. Poorly done in every department.

How is it that William Sadler hasn't aged in the last 15 years?

PS - looks good. Big fan of Darabont and at least we've a solid director with the job.

The second trailer was released yesterday and can be found here.

Looking very good so far, thought the trailer does suffer from the condense the entire film down into two minutes, and save everyone a trip to the theatre syndrome.
