Would including some community or Volunteer work help your CV stand out? Has it ever helped anyone at an Interview?
    Thank You

Not personally, but I cannot think why not.

Firstly you'll make contacts, which is always good for all sorts of reasons (including recommendations to friends who are looking to hire someoine.)

Also, if you have no experience, and the voluntary work gives you office experience, or even just a reference, it's valuable.

Basically I would consider it similarly to "real" work.

With some types of work and some employers it really would as they would go for a socially conscious, well rounded person. At the other end of the spectrum some might class it as unsuitable and not the kind of thing they are after. In most of the middle ground I'd say that it is more likely to help than hinder.

On average I'd think that it would make no difference but would be more likely to work for you than against you.
