Heard on the news last night that Electric Picnic will not be showing the hurling final this year as they recieved some "Complaints" about showing it last year, which I think is a loads of bull seeing as it was shown in the cinema tent away from all the gigs.

anyway back to my point anyone suggest where I should go to watch it?

Stuff Electric Picnic, and just go find any television in the area. There would be loads of pubs etc. in the town that would show it. There'll hardly be a pub in the country that won't have it on.

Hippies, Crusties, Stoners, Wasters and Blow-ins.

All are congregating in Stradbally as we speak

Unlike Messrs Maguires who inexplicably switched on the ManU v Spurs game at half time last Sunday. My brother who was watching the Dubs match there has refused to ever drink there again as a result.

He went downstairs sacrificing the good seats he had upstairs to watch the 2nd half. He was then told that the Dubs v Kerry was back on upstairs but of course when he went up, the seats were gone!

    IDIOTS!

Have to say thats a problem throughout the country. They'll show them for the Summer, but then when the Soccer starts they stop. Since when was Man U V. Spurs in August more important than a AI SF?

Never mind the quality just the importance of a match.

If you want to watch the match and enjoy some excellent pints too, I highly recommend RAMSBOTTOMS Bar and Lounge. It is located beside the Post Office, to be honest you cant miss it!! It is the only official off-licence in Stradbally too.

Was gonna ask if you got to see it. Good stuff altho wasnt the match i expected. Thought Limerick would come out stronger. KK 9 points up after 10 mins or so, its game over apart from a miracle. They dont throw leads like that away, even if there is 60 mins to go!

For what its worth, the game was on in a small tent at electric picnic. I was watching it with about 10 others. No need for the hippie hating! I met some hippies that are mad for hurling :D
