new products availability in shops..

well more in relation to apple stores in the us, but normally how soon after a media event launching a new products are the products available in the apple stores.. For instance there is talk of a media event next week that may have the launch of a new ipod... and i'm in new york for a few days next week, so i wouldn't…

They are available immediately to order, but you can wait 2-4weeks before you get it in your hands.
Stores, they're generally available the next day, with limited stock.
