It's beautiful, friendly, historic, girls are gorgeous, wine is cheap.....

    Nice.

    Why? See sig.

It's a great base to explore the South of France and the Alpine Region. You can take a day trip by car to Milan or Turin. Or you can take a couple of days and explore Switzerland or even Southern Germany.

In winter, you can sun yourself on the beach in the morning and that afternoon be on the slopes.

Great restaurants, superb food market, brilliant nightlife.

I would (and will) go back to Melbourne.

    1. I have some good friends who live there.

    2. I was there of 3 days in 2003 for the RWC match between Ireland and Australia and had a fantastic time. I'd like to spend a bit more time around St Kilda and the outlying areas. The food is fab along with the Eurasian alfresco sporting lifestyle.
