I thought the fight the other night was something special, almost a bench mark in the evolution of mma but specifically cagefighting. the way Couture used the wall of the cage to utilize the clinch and "dirty boxing" displayed a superior intelligence. but i'm wondering would this work elsewhere? specifically Pride, a ring. Are the fighters coming over from pride at a disadvantage after competing in a ring as opposed to a cage?
and for the fantasy football effect, would he have beaten Gonzaga in a ring?
    Any thoughts?

Randy's been doing that for years, don't know what's so "benchmarking" about it?

It's where your getting frisky up against a wall and start diry boxing.

It's caused many a break up and assualt case.

The ropes in the pride ring are solid and can also be used for pinning an opponent against-there not like springy boxing ring ropes-Ali's rope a dope would not of worked in the pride ring. Randy just gets in his opponents face and breaks there spirit..

like Roper, I don't think its a "benchmark", Randy just prepares extremely well for all his fights and adapts his training for every fight. He uses the cage to suit his greco roman wrestling style.
